What Happens In Vegas (Comedy) (PG-13)

"What Happens In Vegas" is a romantic comedy about two people who make the ultimate mistake of getting hitched in Sin City. Typically I would shoot down any movie with Ashton Kutcher due to the fact that I always feel as if my I.Q. takes a nose dive. Cameron Diaz with her upbeat attitude, helps to mask the fact that she can't act any better then she did in "Something About Mary".

That in mind, "What Happens In Vegas" is a great feel good movie. Nothing about the PG-13 rating pushed the boundaries into the raunchy. It was humorous and only dove into the slapstick once or twice. The jokes were real and on point and the movie overall has themes that anyone who has ever been in a relationship, can.....well relate to.

Ashton and Cameron, though they only somewhat break away from their normal roles, had real chemistry in the movie and played believable characters. In the end you don't feel as if the writers just packaged everything up in a neat present, you can really see why these two characters should be together.

"Street Kings" - 2008 (Action) (R)

Street Kings is an action packed typical crooked cop thriller. Keanu Reeves plays Detective Thomas Ludlow, a member of the Vice Special headed up by Forrest Whitaker. Things start taking a turn for the worse when Detective Ludlow's X Partner is killed for coming clean with IA Captain James Biggs, (played by Hugh Laurie, Fox's "House").

This movie lacks the surprise of a good who dunnit. The action scenes are very gruesome and typical in these types of movies. Keanu Reeves acts in his typical genre role, as he has in every movie he has been in. I thought the movie would have a high point with actor Hugh Laurie, just to find out that he plays "House" only as a cop.

In the end, the movie leaves you mildly entertained and yet not fully satisfied. I only wish that the writters would have come up with something more origional then your typical, average at best, bad cop movie.
